Kitsumo privacy policy

This is the same text shipped inside the app, under Settings, Privacy policy.

The short version

Kitsumo logs the focus sessions you choose to start and nothing else. Everything stays on your device. There is no account, no cloud copy, no advertising and no tracking.

What the app stores on your device

Your pet (species, name, outfit), your sessions (when they started and ended, how long they were planned for, how much time counted), the rewards and badges you earned, and your settings such as the daily goal.

This data is kept in a local database on your phone. Deleting the app, or tapping Delete all local data in Settings, removes it.

What the app does not do

It does not watch other apps, your screen, your location, your contacts, your camera or your microphone. It cannot tell whether you were actually focused; it only records the sessions you log.

It does not send your data anywhere. The app works fully offline.

Notifications

If you turn on "Ping me when time's up", the app asks your phone for permission and schedules one local notification per session. Nothing is sent to a server.

Sharing

Share cards are images generated on your device. They show your pet, a badge and totals. Your pet's name is included only if you switch it on. Dates, activities and notes are never included. Sharing happens through your phone's share sheet, under your control.

Purchases

Kitsumo Plus is billed through the App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app identifier and your store receipt to confirm the purchase. The app receives only whether your subscription is active, never your payment details. Outfits you have put on stay on if Plus ends.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, a report with the app version, device model, operating system version and the technical error is sent to Sentry so we can fix it. Reports never include your sessions, your pet or anything you typed. You can turn this off in Settings.

Children

Kitsumo is made for adults and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes and contact
